Minister for Education Ong Ye Kung has stated that schools will continue to be the mainstay for learning, in light of all the technological disruption that is going on in many industries including the educational industry itself.
Technology will transform how education is delivered, but schools will continue to be the centre for transmission of values, as well as a hub for students to learn from each other, from tutors, lecturers, mentors, as well as work together in teams.
Meanwhile, the Education Ministry (MOE) is developing its online learning platform, the Student Learning Space (SLS), which will be rolled out to all schools.
The platform allows for customised learning, with interactive features for feedback from teachers and peer collaboration.
