The National University of Singapore has expanded its overseas colleges programme to Toronto as well as Shenzhen.
The programme is designed to nurture entrepreneurs in different parts of the world. Since 2002, NUS has set up 10 overseas colleges, located in places such as Silicon Valley, New York, Stockholm, Jakarta, Beijing, and Shanghai.
The university currently has about 300 students who head to these overseas colleges yearly to gain exposure to different kinds of industries and technologies.
About 25 to 30 NUS students will head to Toronto every year, while another 20 will head to Shenzhen.
