The Singapore Institute of Management now encourages all of its students to participate in activities outside of the classroom, in order to nurture soft skills like interpersonal skills and work-related skills.
According to Mr Lee Kwok Cheong, chief executive officer of SIM Holdings, SIM aims to build resourcefulness, responsibility and resilience in its students. He says that the key to building these attributes is through out-of-classroom activities.
SIM Project 1095 is one initiative that complements the school curriculum. The initiative aims to engage students in their academic studies, co-curricular activities, community services, global learning and work experience, in order to better prepare them for employment and employability.
SIM also aims to encourage internships and enable its graduates to land good jobs by organising more career fairs.
