The National University of Singapore has been ranked among the world’s top 10 educational institutions for engineering.
The ranking exercise was done as part of an extensive report produced by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on worldwide trends in engineering education. The MIT report, which was entitled “Global State Of The Art In Engineering Education” reviewed cutting-edge practices in engineering education.
NUS is the only university outside the United States and Europe to be on MIT’s list. NUS was ranked 8th. The University of Cambridge was in the ninth place.
Professor Chua Kee Chaing, dean of the NUS Faculty of Engineering, called NUS’ presence in the MIT report “gratifying”.
