2025 GCE O-Level Results & Post-Results Pathways: What You Need to Know
O-Level Results Release
- Date & time: 14 January 2025 (Tuesday), 2.00pm
- School candidates: Collect results from their secondary schools (schools will share collection details).
- Unable to collect in person: A proxy may collect the results with required verification documents; contact the school for help if needed.
- Private candidates:
- With Singpass: View results online via SEAB Candidates Portal from 2.45pm (Jan 14) to 11pm (Jan 28).
- Without Singpass: Use the portal account created during exam registration.
Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE)
Students may use their O-Level results to apply for:
- Junior Colleges (JC)
- Millennia Institute (MI)
- Polytechnics
- Institute of Technical Education (ITE)
Form A (Key Document)
- Sent digitally by email from 2.45pm on Jan 14 to eligible school and private candidates.
- Shows:
- JC / MI aggregate scores
- Polytechnic & ITE aggregate types
- Courses the student is eligible to apply for
- Can also be downloaded from the JAE-Internet System during the application period.
JAE Application Window
- Opens: 4.00pm, Jan 14
- Closes: 4.30pm, Jan 19
- Apply via the JAE-Internet System (Singpass required).
- Students are strongly encouraged to complete the JAE worksheet before submitting choices.
JAE Posting Results
- Released: 3 February
- Via:
- JAE-Internet System
- SMS to the Singapore mobile number provided
Reporting After Posting
- JC & MI: Report on 4 February
- If unable to report (valid reason), contact the posted school directly to reserve the place.
- ITE: Enrolment email sent on 3 February
- Polytechnic: Enrolment email sent by end-February
Direct School Admission – Junior College (DSA-JC)
- Students who accepted a DSA-JC offer will be admitted only if they meet JC admission criteria based on O-Level results.
- These students cannot participate in JAE.
- If JC criteria are not met, they may join JAE to apply for other eligible pathways.
Polytechnic & ITE Early Admissions (EAE)
Polytechnic EAE
Offers are confirmed (and JAE is not allowed) if the student:
- Has net ELR2B2 ≤ 26, and
- Meets the course’s minimum entry requirements
If not, the student may apply through JAE instead.
ITE EAE
- Offers are confirmed once subject-specific minimum requirements are met using O-Level results.
Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) Students
Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)
- Alternative to Secondary 5
- 1-year foundation programme at polytechnics leading to relevant diploma courses
Eligibility
- Raw ELMAB3 ≤ 12
- Meets subject-specific requirements for the chosen cluster
Application
- Receive application form from secondary school
- Apply online via the PFP website using Singpass
Key Dates
- Apply: 1.30pm Jan 14 – 4.30pm Jan 19
- Posting results: 1.30pm Jan 26
- Accept / Reject / Appeal: By 4.30pm Jan 29
- Last day of Sec 5 school (if PFP accepted): Jan 30
Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)
- Leads to selected polytechnic diplomas via a 2-year Higher Nitec course at ITE
Eligibility
- Raw ELMAB3 ≤ 19
- Meets subject-specific course requirements
Application
- Online via the DPP application portal
Key Dates
- Apply: 12.00am Jan 14 – 11.59pm Jan 19
- Posting results (final phase): 9.00am Jan 21
- Accept / Reject offer: By 11.59pm Jan 26
- Report to ITE: Jan 26 (upon acceptance)
Important Notes
- Students who accepted DPP earlier but later wish to take up PFP must withdraw from DPP first.
- DPP students should consult their ITE class advisor on withdrawal procedures and deadlines.
